The New England Patriots are making quite the fan-friendly move by offering fans a chance to exchange their Aaron Hernandez jerseys.

Fans who have purchased the #81 jersey from the Patriots ProShop or their online store can exchange their jersey for a new one of comparable value next weekend on July 6th and 7th.

Hernandez was released by the Patriots earlier this week after he was arrested and charged with murder.

"We know that children love wearing their Patriots jerseys, but may not understand why parents don’t want them wearing their Hernandez jerseys anymore," said Patriots spokesperson Stacey James. "We hope this opportunity to exchange those jerseys at the Patriots ProShop for another player’s jersey will be well received by parents."

The pro shop will be open from 10 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturday July 6 and from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. on Sunday, July 7.

Nike today unveiled the latest installment in the Kevin Durant signature shoes series, the KD VI.  The shoe was launched in Durant's hometown of Seat Pleasant, MD just outside of Washington. The low-cut design is similar to Kobe's Zoom design.

“As I look to evolve my game, my shoe plays a big role,” said Durant in a release from Nike. “The KD VI has the low and light feel that Leo and I concepted from the start and I’m excited to get out and play in it next season.”

The KD VI features six key performance benefits:
  • New tongue construction for superior fit
  • Ultra-thin two-layer upper with Flywire for lockdown support
  • Hyperfuse construction for comfort and breathability
  • Nike Zoom in the forefoot for responsive cushioning
  • Max Air unit in the heel for maximum impact protection
  • Data-informed traction pattern for non-slip control
The shoe will be available globally at select retailers and Nike.com beginning July 3.

Thanks to a leak from Iman Shumpert  himself on Instagram, it looks like that might be the case.

After releasing the original Shaq shoes (The Shaq Attack) earlier this year, Reebok will be releasing the 'Shaqnosis' on July 15th for $115.

Reebok have also been re-releasing Allen Iverson's shoes and plan on bringing back the Kamikazes -- which Shawn Kemp wore in the 90s.

I'm getting dizzy from just looking at them.

Last week ESPN.com’s Darren Rovell reported that five teams will wear alternate jerseys with sleeves for the 2013-2014 season.  The Golden State Warriors experimented with the jerseys last year and according to the AZ Central, the Phoenix Suns will be one of the five news teams to sport the jerseys to go along with their new logo.

This can't go over well with the players, who look ridiculous in these soccer style jerseys.

Sorry, Kendall:

...He just had a little bit of trouble spitting it out:

This should go over well. Yankees third basemen Alex Rodriguez has joined Twitter. You can find him @AROD.

The controversial superstar is in the middle of yet another steroid scandal while rehabbing his surgical repaired hip.

Now you and 11,000 other people can read his tweets while he gets closer to his return.
The NBA Store has released special edition Miami Heat Championship bobbleheads to go along with a number of other items to commemorate their 2013 title.

Something seems a bit off with the "Birdman's" bobblehead however.

As Mariano Rivera enters the finals months of his Hall of Fame career, New Era will be releasing a special line of commemorative caps to mark the occasion.

The caps feature a gold "NY" and  patch showing Rivera entering the game from the bullpen.

Look for these in stores next week and at neweracap.com

According to AZ Sports Talk on NBC Sports Radio, The Phoenix Suns will be tweaking their logo next season.

For the average fan the changes are hardly noticeable, but change is always good.  Especially when you need to sell more merchandise.

Very impressive.

85-year old legendary Dodger broadcaster Vin Scully, who is still trying to figured out what a hashtag is, will take over the @Dodgers Twitter account at 7pm ET as the Dodgers take on the Yankees in the Bronx.

Scully will 'Tweetcast' to the Dodgers' 300,000+ followers during the game.

Slam Magazine is currently celebrating their 20th Anniversary.  Hard to believe it's been 20 years since the first "Slamadamonth" and the Bulls first three-peat.

To honor the occasion, Slam has released three different covers featuring Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James.

Take your pick and congrats, Slam!

These photos of the new Nike LeBron James shoes were spreading around online today with "2-Time Champion" inscribed inside the shoe.

LeBron currently has his hands full with the San Antonio Spurs before he can claim his second championship as the shoe says.  The Heat must win tonight to keep the series alive.

Is the jinx in?  Or the fix?

According to reports, it looks as though the Cincinnati Bengals will appear on HBO's "Hard Knocks" this upcoming season.  It will be the second time in five seasons of "Hard Knocks" that the Bengals will be featured.

Unfortunately, this time around we won't have any of Chad Ochocinco's classic quotes and McDonalds' runs.

Wait, ESPN 3D was still on the air? Apparently so.  ESPN today announced that they'll officially pull the plug on the channel at the end of 2013.

After making several cuts a few weeks ago, ESPN continues to slash their budgets.  This one makes a lot more sense however since 3D TVs haven't really taken off.  Even 3D movies are kind of getting tired and played out.

And so it begins.  Tebowmania is at it again.

NBA prospects will be sporting these hats at the upcoming NBA Draft at the end of June.  Not sure how we'll they'll go with those ridiculous draft day suits, but they'll certainly do.

It looks as though the 2014 season will open up next year in Australia, with the Diamondbacks and the Dodgers travelling down under.

The two teams will play at Australia's Sydney Cricket Grounds at the end of March.

Are the Toronto Blue Jays set to release a retro style cap for the 2014 season? In a video release by New Era last week for their Diamond Collection (video below), a retro style cap appeared making us wonder if we'll be seeing an 80s style modern cap next year on field.  MLB is certainly not shy about releasing as many hats as possible -- so it certainly wouldn't surprise us.

EA Sports' basketball franchise, which has been dominated in recent years by 2K Sports, is making a comeback this winter with the return of their NBA Live franchise on XBox One and PS4.

By the looks of their trailer below, it appears like they have been taking their time and want to get it right this time around. EA hasn't released an NBA game since 2010.

MLB.TV has dropped their price to $49.99 in anticipation for Sunday's Father's Day.  Those looking to get their Dad a gift he'll love (if he's a baseball fan that is) can give the gift of every out-of-market game for the remainder of the season.

He can watch on pretty much any device, including:  Xbox 360, Sony PlayStation 3, Apple TV, Roku Player, Samsung TV or Blu-ray Disc Player, LG (Blu-ray or TV), Panasonic (Viera TV or Blu-ray), Boxee, Sony TV and Western Digital, and mobile means such as iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, Android and BlackBerry Z10.

Just hope he doesn't ask if he can watch his favorite local team - then you're out of luck thanks to MLB's ridiculous black out rules. Get MLB.TV here.

Tim Tebow hasn't even been a member of the New England Patriots for more than 24hrs and already is jersey his for sale on NFL.com.

Tebow, who has had one of the highest selling jerseys the last couple of years, will reportedly wear #5 with the Pats.

Will he outsell Tom Brady this year?

Miami Heat foward LeBron James, who currently has his hands full with the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Finals, has been announced has the cover athlete for NBA2k14.

The move follows last year's cover that featured Blake Griffin, Kevin Durant and Derrick Rose -- who missed the entire year with a knee injury.  I personally though 2k could do no wrong when they feature Michael Jordan on a number of consecutive covers.

As Jay-Z attempts to take over the sports agency world, he's off to a good start.  He's landed one of the biggest NBA fish in Kevin Durant.

Just in time for the 4th of July, New Era has released (yet another) cap for all you fans to open their wallets too.  The special editions hats are very similar to the hats that were released a few years ago.
